Hi Dear Ones,

I treasure your love and prayers and support. God bless.
God’s Word to You today is found in Jonah 4:1-3
1 But Jonah was greatly displeased and became angry. 2 He prayed to the LORD, “O LORD, is this not what I said when I was still at home? That is why I was so quick to flee to Tarshish. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity. 3 Now, O LORD, take away my life, for it is better for me to die than to live.”
Sometimes we get so wrapped up in either our own selfish desires or even worse, our plans to serve the Lord that we end up frustrated, upset, or even angry that He would change our plans or not fulfill them.
Jonah got upset to the point of telling God he would just as soon die as keep on seeing his plans not come to fruition as he planned them. How dare God go back on His word and not destroy those who Jonah had decided deserved death?
How dare God have mercy on who He chooses, doesn’t He realize that person we know who is so evil or who has trespassed against us doesn’t deserve mercy? Maybe it’s the guy next door, or a co-worker or that black sheep of the family. You know who it is. We all have that person who is so hard to get along with or that person who knows it all even when we know they don’t.
And yet, maybe when we look in the mirror, or see ourselves as others do in those situations where maybe we put our desires before God’s, maybe just maybe we realize we are where we are only by the grace of God.
I know I’m still growing. I know I am imperfect. I know sometimes I feel like justice is not served. And then I pray thanks to God for not forsaking me. I let my memory of not knowing Him fill my thoughts. I change my outlook and ask God to allow His grace and mercy flow in and thru me to those around me who are more like me than I sometimes want to think.
Like all of us I am no different than the lost sinner except I am saved by faith and grace.
Thanks God.
me n’ God love ya
