Welcome to God’s Word to You
God’s Word to You today is found in Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Sometimes my country makes my heart so heavy it hurts. Really, it almost physically hurts.
And even though some try to deny it, the USA is the greatest country in the world. We have so many freedoms, just like we do in Christ. We have choices to be who we wish, just like in Christ.
We have the ability to make mistakes and hit rock bottom and still rise, just like in Christ.
Yet we as a nation are divided by just about any separation you can name.
We are divided by wealth, poverty, race, sex, sexual preference, religion and even denomination of religions.
Its crazy!!!! And because of all the division we have probably the most hate filled country in the world. Yet if we are so bad why is it we have a problem with legal and illegal immigration? Honest, people are truly dying to come here.
And I look at our second home, Venezuela and see what our problem is. See, there the people are starving, spending half a day in lines at stores to get basics and far less than half the population is at work. They literally work daily trying to find food.
But let me tell you this too. They are all Venezuelans. And just that. Black, white, oriental or whatever the skin color or country of the families origin, they are Venezuelans. Period.
But here we have to be fill-in-the blank American. Yep. I said it. That is a huge part of our problems. And folks, if you are a racist and a Christian then you need to get your Bible out and re-read the whole thing and show me where it says it is ok. If you are a Christian and you are prejudice against the lost then you need to get our your Bible and re-read it and tell me where Jesus said that was ok.
WE who are His are the difference makers. And it is time we make a difference.
One last thing. We have one grandson and are expecting a granddaughter in February. My prayer for those two little ones are that in their life time they are able to see people here in the USA refer to one another as a man or a woman. Period.
Just think what it would be like. Personally I thought that was what the Civil Rights movement was about.
And I also think it is God’s desire too.
me n’ God love ya
