Welcome to God’s Word to You
God’s Word to You today is found in Ephesians 4:30
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
You were sealed. Sealed to what or who? The Holy Spirit. When did it happen. When you believed. Believed what? The Holy Spirit.
Make sense? It is a hard concept for some. See, we as mankind being full of sin and proclivity to sin from birth, like to fill our lives with lies that make us feel good about ourselves.
In doing so we not only want to be good, special and maybe even heroes, we want a direct and major part in our salvation. Thus we read the Scriptures and just have to make sure there is something important and necessary for us to do or keep doing to get and receive salvation.
The negative to this is anything we add to God’s love and grace and sacrifice on the cross demeans each of those.
Here is the problem most people have with salvation. It is too easy.
The real problem to many of us is it doesn’t seem real because in our hearts we know we don’t deserve it. And we don’t. But that is the point of salvation. We are saved because we can’t save ourselves.
Now can we at least understand that? We can’t do it ourselves.
And we can’t do anything to stay saved. God covered that too. He sealed us with the Holy Spirit to guide us, live in us and stay with us until Glorification because even being saved we can not live as we should without His help.
So as we walk this earth after salvation we need to know the Holy Spirit is with us always and know that our best choices are to not do those things that grieve Him. He is there. He isn’t going anywhere.
And He loves us and is willing to do whatever He needs to to be with us and guide us but… we have to let Him.
Still sounds too easy huh? It is. Today trust in Him and don’t make life hard. Make it about Him.
me n’ God love ya
