God’s Word to You is
1 Peter 4:8-11
8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Matthew 5:43-45
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
Romans 5:6-8
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
The one thing wrong with hate the sin love the sinner is when the hate the sin is all you show the sinner. Jesus didn’t do it that way. I decided to check to see if there is a verse hate the sin love the sinner. I believe the heart of these verses do so.
And that is my challenge to you today. Be a detective. See if you can find scripture that supports or disproves this or any other ideas or theology you may wish to research. Especially maybe the ones you like to use to push your own agendas.
Btw, it may not be as important to find out you are right or wrong as it is for you to find out…
me n’ God love ya
