Welcome to God’s Word to You
God’s Word to You today is found in Lamentations 3:22-23
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I want to thank K-Love for inspiring this message. I actually tried to call them to let them know but the line was either busy or when it wasn’t it just rang and I had to go into work.
Ok, this morning as I was driving to work and listening to the radio I caught the end of a conversation. I don’t know the whole discussion but I caught them saying that if they found mold in Tupperware they just threw it away because of how dirty it was.
As soon as I heard that I knew God was pointing something out to me. When they said it I instantly thought how glad I am God doesn’t throw us away when we get to a certain level of dirty.
It also made me think about how many of us look at those who are really dirty and compare ourselves to them with the attitude of at least I am not that dirty so God must love me more. There are even those times we may think to ourselves that God can’t love us as dirty as we are.
Yet He does.
He doesn’t love as man does. He doesn’t judge as man does. He doesn’t love me any more than the dirtiest sinner or any less than the most magnificent saint.
He just loves me anyway.
I don’t know about you but that is pretty stinkin awesome to me.
So K-Love morning crew, thanks for the inspiration. I would have told you on the phone but this will have to do.
Sidewalk Prophets
“You Love Me Anyway”
The question was raised
As my conscience fell
A silly, little lie
It didn’t mean much
But it lingers still
In the corners of my mind
Still you call me to walk
On the edge of this world
To spread my dreams and fly
But the future’s so far
My heart is so frail
I think I’d rather stay inside
[Chorus:]
But You love me anyway
It’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known
Yes, You love me anyway
Oh, Lord, how You love me
How You love me
It took more than my strength
To simply be still
To seek but never find
All the reasons we change
The reasons I doubt
And why do loved ones have to die?
[Chorus:]
But You love me anyway
It’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known
Yes, You love me anyway
Oh, Lord, how You love me
[Bridge:]
I am a thorn in Your crown
But You love me anyway
I am the sweat from Your brow
But You love me anyway
I am the nail in Your wrist
But You love me anyway
I am Judas’ kiss
But You love me anyway
See now, I am the man who yelled out from the crowd
For Your blood to be spilled on this earth shaking ground
Yes then I turned away with the smile on my face
With this sin in my heart tried to bury Your grace
And then alone in the night I still called out for You
So ashamed of my life, my life, my life
[Chorus:]
But You love me anyway
Oh, God, how you love me
Yes, You love me anyway
It’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known
Yes, You love me anyway
Oh, Lord, how You love me
Yes, You love me,
Yes, You love me
Yes, You love me,
Yes, You love me
How You love me
How You love me
How You love me
me n’ God love ya
