Welcome to God’s Word to You
God’s Word to You today is found in Job 19:25
25 I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end He will stand on the earth.
Usually when we read the Book of Job we expect to hear about his hardships and how God in the end returned his worldly life to him. He even gave him twice as much as he had before he was bombarded with misfortune.
Some will think that God has worldly riches and rewards for those who persevere. Many even think if we give of our fortunes God will give us tenfold back, as in $100 for $10 given in His name.
Oh how selfish we tend to be. We even pray for selfish reasons expecting God to change His plans to fit our desires. In our defense I know that many of our selfish desires may include jobs and health for loved ones. That in itself is not bad. Expecting and being angry if God doesn’t answer them the way we want or expect Him to is.
And back to Job. No matter what befell him he never denied or lost faith in God. And he wasn’t focused on just his own calamities. He was focused on his trust in God.
He knew His Redeemer was coming. He knew he would see Him someday. He had faith and trust in God.
And with all the tragedies and misfortunes this world holds, we who know Him MUST have faith and trust that He never lets go.
No matter the storm, no matter the dire predicament now matter whether He bails us totally out of the messes we make, our Redeemer lives. He promised He will take us and home…
and He will.
That is my hope and my faith.
me n’ God love ya
