God’s Word to You is hate.
I’ve talked about this one too much lately. It’s a plague that grows out of the smallest seed and is nurtured by the slightest attention. You can see it and describe it in many ways. You can be hurt by it, respond to it and be drawn into it.
But you can never win with it. Only consumed. In our country today we are a few days out from a horrible declaration of hate. One, meant to be trusted with our safety, out of some type of anger or fear or hate, took the life of another.
The country is divided by skin color as the reason. Sadly this division hasn’t proven skin color was the reason. The hate of racism has brought the worst out of many, including those who demand everyone stand as they stand, get as angry as they are and if you don’t you are a problem.
Shame on all of us. How easily we leave God behind in our agendas and worse, try to then use Him as our source of reasoning.
Now is the time ALL God’s people show Him to the world.
We need to turn to Him first and seek His ways. Yes, He hates racism. But He also is against hating your brothers, hating your enemies and He expects the same from us.
People of all color are hurting right now. Their pain needs a voice and their pain needs to be heard. But it is those of all skin color.
Racism is taught. The only way to catch it is for someone to teach it to you.
If you hate another race, if you prejudge another race, if you lump those of another race into a negative hateful lump, you are a racist. Period.
How do we fight racism personally? Easy. Do what God says. Love one another. Period. Loving can mean helping physically, financially, spiritually or at times, just being there to listen.
It’s time all God’s people unite as His and stop the racism.
Stop trying to be good, stop trying to be right. Be His.
Leviticus 19:17
“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.
1 John 2:9
Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Ephesians 4:29
Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
