God’s Word to You today is Acts 4:10-12
8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
I often use Acts 4:20, “for we can not stop speaking of what we have seen and heard”, as a call to share the Gospel. I do it because the world needs to hear it. I do it because it is the truth.
The world would like to try and tell you differently. They will try and make you believe and be comfortable that there are all kinds of ways and roads to go to Heaven and may even change what they call Heaven.
They will try and justify the sins they live in. Life is about being happy and that depends on each person’s “needs”, “views” and “morals”. But that isn’t the truth.
Sadly there are even “Christian” religions, denominations and cults who will tell you you have to do this and that and such and such to get to Heaven.
I’m not going to go into any of them or what they say except to share this verse with you.
Folks, there is no other name than Jesus, no other way to the Father except Jesus and no deeds, works, rules or any man made theology or doctrine that can get you into or keep you in Heaven.
Only by the Blood and and by the cross and only in Jesus is our fate whether we live with Him in Heaven. It’s a relationship not a particular church or religion.
So where is your hope today? A building, a group of people, a devotional or Jesus?
