Welcome to “God’s Word to You”!
God’s Word to You today is found in Exodus 4:10-13
10 Moses said to the LORD, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”
11 The LORD said to him, “Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
13 But Moses said, “O Lord, please send someone else to do it.”
Have you ever heard of Moses? You know, they guy that they picked Charlton Heston to play in that movie about a Bible story. He had a problem. He was comfortable where he was at. But God had different plans.
Sometimes we get comfortable and don’t want change. Sometimes we picture how life should be, where we work, live, who we must have in our lives and who shouldn’t be. Sometimes se decide God just has to understand we know better how our lives should be and dog gone it we do whatever we have to maneuver it to make it follow our desires.
And one of the main things we do is get set in our comfort zone and whoa to anyone who tries to pry us out of it. I love the phrase “Well I just don’t feel called to fill in the blank.” The truth is even if they are called they just don’t want to because it is uncomfortable, undesirable, or just not my bag.
I am one who loves to get people out of their zones. And you know what? I’m comfortable doing it. And yes I too have a comfort zone. So part of my challenge is this. I am doing things at this time that are out of my comfort zone. I am going places, making different life decisions and even committing to God to see where He desires me to be and who.
It has already made me change some priorities and other decisions will be made soon that can affect my life as it has been. I am a little nervous as well as excited. I have no idea what the future holds except that He will be with me. It’s actually kinda cool. So pray for me.
The challenge is this. Get out of your box. Stop thinking as you always have and get out of your box. Take a chance and ask God and be available wherever and whoever He decides to send you to or make you into. And as always and forever…
me n’ God love ya
